The abuse scandal on TV; NBC Dateline (US) and BBC Panorama (UK) An elder, disgusted by the Society's handling of pedophiles in the organisation, resigns (steps down) and sends a letter to his local newspaper, which publishes an article on the subject. The Society's official response denies there is a problem. Other JWs, including elders, post their support on message boards on the web defying the Society ban on internet use. The Society has identified the United Nations Organisation as the "Image of the wild beast" described in the Bible book of Revelation chapter 13:14-15. The objective of this "image beast" is to get people to worship another beast - the "wild beast from the sea". The Society claims this second beast is the global political system of which Satan is the ruler. So why then was the Society listed on the UNs web site as being a Non Government Organisation supporting the objectives of the UN?... Click for more

Why some JWs accept blood and conscientiously reject official Watch Tower society blood policy

The Society would like you to believe that their blood policy is universally accepted by individual JWs worldwide. Nothing could be further from the truth. The blood policy is so full of contradictions and in such a shambles that many witnesses, including elders and HLC (Hospital Liason Committee) members reject it. Where's the growth? The February 2001 Watchtower claimed that Gods blessing is "clearly evident" on the evangelizing activity of Jehovahs Witnesses. If that's the case then we should expect to see substantial growth. Privacy Act? What privacy act? On your very first contact with JWs, they started recording information about you - without your knowledge or permission. Some of this information is used in a report that goes to the NZ branch office in Auckland every month.
When was the last time your Bible study conductor advised you they were gathering information about you and submitting it to the organisation? ...click for more

Reporting your work to the organisation each month Each witness must fill in a monthly report which details exactly how many hours they spent in the house to house work. How many magazines, books, tracts and Bibles they sold that month, how many follow up calls (on those who show an interest by accepting literature) and how many Bible studies they conducted.
Of course there is no scriptural requirement to submit such forms, but the organisation insists that witnesses do so anyway, and witnesses comply because their spirituality is judged on the amount of work done each month as recorded on these reports. ...click for more

Where are "True" friends to be found? The Society has already judged your friends and family. Without even meeting them, the society consider them "bad association" and will insist you spend as little time as possible with them. Instead, they claim you will find many and better "true friends" in the organisation.
Unfortunately what they don't tell you is that these "true friends" will only be interested in you as long as you are obedient to the organisation. ...click for more

Have you lost your mind? Witnesses have a special kind of freedom, the kind that comes with never making a decision again.

Witnesses are simply not permitted to make their own decisions. They must look up their question in the Watch Tower Publications Index, which provides references to approriate Watch Tower Society publications - and these answer their question. ...click for more

Know someone studying the Bible with witnesses and want to help them break free? Learning that a friend or family member has become involved with the witnesses can be a frightening experience. No doubt you want to get them out of it as quickly as possible.

It is usually a good idea to try and find out why your friend or family member has joined the Watch Tower Society. Seldom will a witness admit its because they were depressed at the time, or had just gone through a personal crisis of some sort. Yet time and again this is the case. From there you will be able to see exactly what the society really offered them. ...click for more
